When signing up on Raenest, we ask for your first name and last name. To make sure everything runs smoothly when setting up your account and verifying your identity, there are certain rules for how you can enter your name.
What characters are allowed?
You can use:
English alphabet letters (A - Z). This can be in uppercase (e.g. John, Grace) or lowercase (e.g. john, grace). Both are accepted, but we recommend starting your name with a capital letter for readability.
Hyphens (-) for hyphenated names (e.g. Okonjo-Iweala, Jean-Paul). We also recommend starting each name with a capital letter for readability.
What characters are not allowed?
You cannot use:
Numbers (e.g. J0hn, Grac3)
Other special characters (e.g. @, $, %, !, #, &, *)
Emojis or symbols (e.g. π, π)
If you include an invalid character, youβll see an error message that says: "Please use allowed characters."
Why these rules matter
We use your name to:
Verify your identity
Match your details with official records
Ensure smooth transactions and account setup
Using only supported characters helps avoid delays and errors during onboarding.
