With Raenest, US residents can now open a US bank account directly from their phone. This makes it easy to manage money, receive payments, and even connect with your home country by holding a local account alongside your US account.
Who can use this?
Raenest accounts are designed for a wide range of people, including:
Students in the US who need a simple way to bank and receive money
Africans living in the US who want to send money back home or receive remittances from family in their local currency
Freelancers, professionals, and everyday users who need a reliable USD account for payments
Important things to note
If your country of residence is the US, you’ll only see the option to open a US bank account (not EUR/GBP accounts).
During onboarding, you’ll be asked to provide your country of origin. This allows us to set up your local bank account (e.g. Nigerian naira account or Ghana cedis account) when you get to your dashboard.
Your USD account is automatically generated once your ID is verified.
Steps to create your account
Download the Raenest app from the App Store or Google Play.
Register with your email address and verify your email.
When prompted to select your purpose of account, choose “Open a US bank account”.
Complete your personal profile with details like your full name, phone number, date of birth, and country of origin, then tap Continue.

Once your verification is completed, you can log in and your US bank account will be ready.
From your dashboard, you can also create a local bank account in your country of origin to send and receive money in your local currency.
