Why Your Geegpay USD Virtual Card Transaction May Fail

Updated over a week ago

There are several possible reasons why a card transaction might fail. Here are some common ones:

  • Insufficient funds: If the card doesn't have enough money to cover the cost of the transaction, the transaction will fail. Please always factor in our charges of 0.1% anytime you are making a transaction.

  • Incorrect card details: If the card details (such as the card number, expiration date, or CVV) are entered incorrectly, the transaction will fail. Please always make sure you enter the right details.

  • Incorrect billing address: If the billing address on the card does not match the address on file with the card issuer, the transaction may be declined. The billing address of your Geegpay USD virtual card is right on the card page. That's the billing address you must enter on the website or platform you are using the card on.

  • Daily or Monthly Limit: The card issuer may decline the transaction if the cardholder has reached their limit. If you need an increased limit, please contact our support.

  • Technical issues: Sometimes, technical problems with the card, the merchant's system, or the payment network can cause a transaction to fail.

  • Restricted websites: Some cards may be restricted from being used for certain transactions, such as gambling or adult content. If the transaction is not allowed by the card issuer, it will fail.
